COMMUNITY LEADERS CONTINUE COALESCING AROUND KARINA CERVANTEZ ALEJO’S ASSEMBLY BID

WATSONVILLE, CA— Keeping up her rapid pace when it comes to locking down broad support from community leaders throughout California’s 30th Assembly District seat, today Watsonville Mayor Pro-Tem Karina Cervantez Alejo collected five new community endorsements from leaders throughout the 30th District as she campaigns to represent the region in the State Assembly. Those endorsing Mayor Pro-Tem Cervantez Alejo today include:

  • Lee Ross Gomez, Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee
  • Cat Tucker, Gilroy City Council Woman
  • Rene Spring, Morgan Hill Planning Commissioner and Past President Leadership Morgan Hill
  • Jennifer Cook Tate, Morgan Hill Community Leader
  • Marjetka Bagley, Salinas Democratic Party Delegate
Responding to news of the endorsements, Watsonville Mayor Pro-Tem Karina Cervantez Alejo stated:
“Today’s endorsements reflect the fact that our people-powered and neighborhood-based campaign is continuing to surge with momentum. Having the support of these leaders from Gilroy, Salinas, Morgan Hill and scores of others from throughout the 30th Assembly District underscores that community leaders want a new generation of leadership to fight for them in the State Legislature. I’m really honored to have their support.”
Earlier this week, California Democratic Party Vice Chair Eric C. Bauman endorsed Mayor Pro-Tem Cervantez Alejo’s campaign.

Beyond today’s powerful announcement, at the close of 2015, Mayor Pro-Tem Cervantez Alejo rolled out a far-reaching list of over 215 endorsements from leaders and organizations in the 30th District and across California.
