WATSONVILLE, CA— Adding to her already lengthy roster of support from women’s rights organizations, today Watsonville Vice Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo picked up an endorsement from the California National Organization for Woman (NOW) in her State Assembly District 30 bid.
Responding to news of the endorsement, Watsonville Vice Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo released the following statement:

“Women’s rights, equality, fairness and justice are core principles of my campaign. I have a record of standing up for a living wage for working women, equal pay for equal work, combatting gender workplace discrimination and protecting a women’s right to choose. The movement for equality for women has made tremendous progress, but we still have much work to accomplish in the years ahead to reach full equality and guaranteed protections for our rights. I look forward to working closely with California NOW on these challenges among others in the Legislature. I’m really grateful for their support.”

In addition to today’s announcement, Watsonville Vice Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo has won the following women’s organizational endorsements:
