WATSONVILLE, CA– With less than two weeks before the all-important June 7th Primary Election, today Watsonville Vice Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo scored a major victory by locking down an endorsement from the Sierra Club California as she seeks to represent California’s 30th Assembly District seat.
In a letter sent to Cervantez Alejo’s campaign, Sierra Club California wrote:
“Sierra Club California is pleased to endorse your candidacy for election to the California State Assembly. We believe that you have demonstrated a commitment to environmental protection. We anticipate that you will help to protect California’s air, water and wild places.”
Responding to news of the endorsement, Watsonville Vice Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo stated:
“It’s really gratifying to have the recognition and support from one of California’s most widely respected and influential environmental organization’s such as the Sierra Club. I’m honored to count them on my team and look forward to working with them to get the vote out in the weeks ahead.”
