OPEN SPACE ADVOCATES AGREE KARINA CERVNATEZ ALEJO IS THE BEST CHOICE FOR AD-30

WATSONVILLE, CA—Highlighting her work with local Parks & Recreation agencies, Watsonville Vice-Mayor Karina Cervnatez Alejo earned the endorsement of the California Park & Recreation Society (CPRS) in her campaign for Assembly District 30.  CPRS represents over 4,000 public employees who understand the importance of community parks and recreational facilities.
In response to the endorsement, Watsonville Vice-Mayor Karina Cervantez Alejo released the following statement:
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the California Park & Recreation Society because I believe that we need to take steps to improve and increase access to parks, recreation centers, and green space in communities across California. On the Watsonville City Council, I worked closely with our Parks & Neighborhood Services department to establish a community garden in my council district as part of our city’s urban greening plan. As a past Parks and Recreation Commissioner, I continue to advocate for increased access to the outdoors for our families. I look forward to working with CPRS to continue my dedication to parks and open space in the Assembly.”
